New Pediatrician Joins Hillside Staff

Hillside Hospital CEO, Heather Harper announces the addition of Tennessee native, Dr. B. Shane Robinson to the hospital medical staff. Dr. Robinson specializes in pediatrics and will begin seeing patients at his Kids First Pediatrics office in October.
"We are pleased to have Dr. Robinson joining our staff," said Harper. "He has a dynamic personality, a tremendous love of children, and a very strong work ethic. We are committed to finding physicians and specialists for Giles County that will provide superb health care, alleviating the inconvenience of unnecessary travel. I believe the addition of Dr. Robinson, along with existing pediatrician, Dr. Mildred Franco-Chen will give parents the assurance of excellent pediatric care close to home."
Dr. Robinson is a native Tennessean. He received his Bachelor of Arts degree from University of Tennessee at Chattanooga. He received his Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine degree from Nova Southeastern College of Osteopathic Medicine in 2004. Dr. Robinson completed his Internship in 2005 at Palm Beach Centre of GME, Columbia Hospital in Florida. He completed his postgraduate work in Pediatrics at University of Tennessee COM, Erlanger Hospital, and Palm Beach Centre for GME, Palms West Hospital. He is a member of the American Academy of Pediatrics, American College of Osteopathic Pediatricians, and the American Osteopathic Association.
Dr. Robinson is very excited about providing a full range of health care needs for children of all ages. The Kids First Pediatrics office will be open Monday through Friday from 9am until 5pm, closing from noon to 1pm for lunch. The office will be open for appointments beginning in October and is located at 202 Hillside Dr. on the Hillside Hospital campus.
